These faces may seem familiar and that's because earlier in the year, I had the joyful delight of photographing their elopement.
They decided to have a beautiful celebration of love and gather the ones they love most.
And what better way to do that than with a Whidbey Island Fair wedding. Bunnies big and small ran wild and swallows soared in the sky. The rustic, farm feel was the perfect contrast to the relaxed elegance of the florals and decor.
Before they rode in on a convertible to begin the ceremony, we stole away with Maya's brother driving us down to the dock where the ocean was shimmering and the breeze felt quite refreshing in the Pacific Northwest summer heat. Cause DAMN does it get hot here.
They exchanged kisses and quiet moments before piling back into the convertible and making one of the best entrances I've ever seen.
Friends and family from near and far traveled to celebrate their newlywed status, and may I just say, it was a motherfucking blast. I would have never thought to have a wedding at a fair ground, but Whidbey Island is a beautiful place full of beautiful surprises.
To know Maya + Jack is to love them and nothing made me happier than just being around them and the clear and beautiful love they so obviously have for each other.
I cried through the toasts and shook my groove thang with them during their reception and I know that I won't be able to hug them for a while, we'll meet in the hills of Scotland next year and frolic in the hills.
Congratulations, my sweet angel babies. It was a privilege, joy, and absolute honor.
