I cannot even begin to describe how delightful this day was. But, that's sort of the point of a blog, so I will do my best. This Snoqualmie Pass Elopement was something out of a fairytale.
When I met Kayla + David, I knew I would love them. The love they had for one another was so palpable over our FaceTime call. I kept thinking to myself, I cannot WAIT to photograph them.
Cut to a few months later, and I was a few months pregnant. My growing baby bump and I bundled into the car to drive over to arguably one of my favorite places in all of Washington. Anywhere in North Bend.
I met them at the cabin they'd rented for the weekend, their family and friends slowly arriving in the early morning sun. I met Kayla upstairs where she was getting ready. We peaked out of the window to see David and Kayla couldn't get over how handsome he looked. 🙂 Once her dress was tied, she went downstairs to have her first look with her forever love and it is honestly one of my favorite first looks to ever have witnessed. Oh my goodness, these two. David had tears come to his immediately when he saw how beautiful Kayla was. They talked, giggled and cried happy tears. I shed several myself.
Afterward, we all piled in our respective cars, pausing on the way out to grab blueberry muffins a beloved sister had made for everyone. The clouds parted and had the sun beat down on us with no mercy - we were all sweating, but we didn't care!
The ceremony was a quick exchange of love, joy, and memories as they pledged forever.
Kayla, David, and I stole away after a quick little reception to walk the pond and capture them in newlywedded bliss.
My loves, it's no secret that I love you. I hope you both know it and also know how grateful I am for being the one to document such a beautiful day. It was a pure and utter joy.
