I personally think that city settings for an elopement or wedding is SEVERELY underrated.
Don't get me wrong, beautiful back drops of gorgeous scenery whether it be mountain tops or a bluff on the coast of Oregon is something that allows your soul to breathe.
But I think city / town landscapes also offer something, even though it's way different. I think it reminds us of the everyday. Of walks to the park after you and your love had a shit day. The building where you had your first job or where you had your first apartment.
So when Renee + Dan were thinking about their elopement (which was going to be a city hall one anyway) I offered the idea of "Why don't we just stay in the city?" And they loved it.
By the end of the shoot, I was quite literally soaked to the bone, my shoes sloshing from rain, my dress sticking to me, my coat drenched.
But all was well worth it for these sweet peeps.
R + D, We couldn't have done what we did without you.
You guys seriously rock + are absolute champions.
