As you probably know, Washington and Oregon aren't usually known for their beaches. Well, just come here on any given day, rain or shine, and you will be absolutely blown away.
There is a sweet spot towards the end of August where the ocean and lakes here get warm and invite surfers, swimmers and beach goer's alike.
So when Chelsea reached out about photographing her and her love Frank, she told how they wanted it to be close to the ocean or on a beach.
My immediate follow up question upon hearing that was, "Would you guys be cool with getting into the water?" I seriously love water photography + especially when people in love are in it. They both said yes and I rejoiced.
We met at a cramped parking lot and caught up was we walked down a little further on the beach to have some more privacy. They brought some refreshments and came prepared with extra clothes and towels in their car (which we forgot as soon as we sat our stuff down at the complete opposite side of the beach.)
They were absolute naturals in front of the camera (which honestly, every single one of my couples are - they tend not to think that though when I first get my camera out. 🙂 ).
They have a sweet, sweet love that can never be forced or posed. It was a true delight getting to photograph them in the sweet August light.
Thank you for everything , my darlings. You guys rock.
