For this Oak Harbor engagement session, it was a dream come true to get a chance to work with these beautiful loves.
Sometimes, people find their way into your life in sudden and unexpected ways, and that's how Claire and I found each other.
Claire was browsing through Instagram and happened on my page.
She reached out about doing an engagement session with her and her love, Jack.
Our FaceTime call went into overtime because we couldn't stop talking to each other! Her favorite jewelry company just so happens to be the same one that I have a little side job with + we bonded over our mutual love of Autumn and tattoos.
We talked over locations and landed on one of my favorite places in all of Washington, which just so happened to be one of their favorite places in all of Washington.
We met on a ferry ride and chatted in the line with their sweet pup, curled up in the back seat.
Our session began on the ferry, which if you've been following along for a while, ferries are my heaven.
We quickly found ourselves docking and making our way over to our destination.
And what a perfect evening it was. The wildfires were a little heavy this year, and as awful as they are, the smoke makes the lighting quite ethereal and beautiful.
We frolicked amongst the fields and biked along the paths with sweet Pacha in tow, running along with her family like the beautiful little lion that she is.
Working with them felt like poetry. Their love was on full and beautiful display against the pinks and oranges of the sunset falling over the horizon.
My loves, your love makes the world a better place. Thank you for inviting me to experience a little life with you.
