Gold Creek Pond Elopement | Lexi + Thomas

One of the funny things about Lexi + Thomas is that both times I documented their beautiful love, I managed to have a rental car on both occasions.

The other funny thing was that after our engagement session, I didn't think we could have a better time together. It remains one of my most favorite sessions I've ever done. When their Gold Creek Pond elopement arrived, I met Lexie at the top of the trail with her mother, father and sister, and I knew Her silk white wedding dress was flowing down over the gravel underneath, her face was beaming with excitement, joy and love. I had a feeling this day was going to be one for the memory books, and oh my goodness, how it was.

L + T had moved to Seattle in spring of 2020, away from both their families, so people traveled from afar to celebrate the union of two of their favorite people. The day was a beautiful blur of tears, smiles, laughter, joy, union and also sweat since it was one of the hottest days of the year.

We celebrated over croissants, mimosas and spent the afternoon talking, sharing stories and taking everything in.

Lexi, Thomas and I stole away after a few hours of visiting the family and took a walk around Gold Creek Pond. Hand in hand, they strolled along the water and took solace in the occasional shade on the trail.

Otters played by the shore and put on a fantastic show for the newly wed couple.
